Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Drive from the airport to Tarangire National Park after early breakfast. Tarangire National Park is known for its elephant herds of up to 300, migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland grazing and browsing in the dry river bed. There is a Silale swamp that attracts 550 varieties of birds, the most breeding species you'll see in one habitat anywhere in the world! The park is also home to tree climbing pythons, as well as lions and leopards. After the adventure of the day, you will head to Karatu for overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Taking picnic lunches with you, your drive today will lead you to descend down the crater floor for a full exploration of what the crater has to offer by tracking the game with your guide. The crater is 610m deep and 260km² wide, making it the largest caldera in the world. The crater contains all the Big Five animals (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo), hippos, cheetah, antelopes, and spotted hyena. Also in the crater, you can see different species of birds. Later drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
This day starts with a relaxing breakfast at your hotel followed by a drive through Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park. Take a breath and enjoy the beautiful scenery rolling into the distance as far as your eyes can see. You will head to the central part of the park known as the Seronera circuit which is very rich in wildlife habitat. You will spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant, and the most respected group of the predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Full Day
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti plains. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti and get a chance to appreciate the view as the sun sets fire to the savannah while predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. (Optional hot air balloon safari available at extra cost.) After breakfast, you will proceed to explore the vast savannah of Serengeti in your open-roof vehicle with your packed lunch. Take your hat and sunglasses out and enjoy what nature has in store for you.

Day 5: Serengeti – Zanzibar
Say goodbye to the Serengeti with a morning game drive or a luxurious breakfast at your hotel and later drive to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to your beachfront hotel.

Day 6: Mnemba Island & Rock Restaurant Dinner
This tour includes snorkeling in the calm Indian Ocean and later enjoying an amazing lunch at the Rock Restaurant. It also includes swimming with dolphins in the ocean. Mnemba Island is one of the best spots in Africa for underwater adventures. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular dinner at The Rock Restaurant, built on a rock in the Indian Ocean – completely surrounded by water at high tide.

Day 7: Safari Blue – Zanzibar
Experience the best boat excursion in Zanzibar. Safari Blue is a full day and includes top-quality snorkeling equipment with guides and instructors, ice-cold sodas, mineral water and beer, a delicious Zanzibar seafood lunch with grilled fish and slipper lobster, gastronomic fruit tasting, coffee, and Amarula liqueur. Enjoy dhow sailing and a walking safari on Kwale Island.

Day 8: Zanzibar – Back Home
